We have been offered a very exciting opportunity to take on and develop a garden which is located on a local farm. Our plans include providing an outdoor classroom/workshop to be used for small woodwork projects and learning opportunities, as well as creating a sensory flower garden and raised planters where members can grow and harvest produce.

The space will be inclusive and provide members with a safe space in which to relax and escape from everyday life. Members will be involved in the planning and maintaining of the garden which will give everyone a feeling of ownership.

There will also be the chance for members to go on nature walks around the farm encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

The pictures show how the garden looked when we first secured it and slowly we are introducing members so that they can familiarize themselves with it.

We received generous funding which has allowed us to develop the space, flowers and vegetables have been sown and we now have hens too which have been named by our members. Thank you to Peter and Tim who have built a brilliant new hen run and rescued a derelict hen house that was no longer in use.
