This is where we will let you know about events coming up or news of things that have happened.

Thanks to everyone who came along to our last disco at the Torch Centre. We hope you all enjoyed it. To see all the fun we had please see the photo gallery.

For all of you disco divas out there we are happy to announce that thanks to the generosity of Carine Pesara’s Aunty Sylvia we will be organising a trip to the Krocodile Club disco on October 16th .

We recently took part in Dilston festival with performances from Moving Up and Voice Box as well as taking part in a range of fun activities including football, story-telling and circus skills. There was a disco to start off the event with a fantastic fireworks display to bring the two day festival to a close.

Monday 13th July saw the second year of the film festival, D’Oscars at the Queens Hall. We are currently celebrating as Gateway was awarded a certificate in good film making and animation for Hexhamations film called Diversity.

Friday 24 July saw the last Club 18/25 for two of our members, Hazel Miller and Jonathan Pike. The group celebrated by going to Weatherspoons where we all enjoyed having a meal together – everyone had a great night.

A big congratulations goes to one of our members, Trevor Hardy who took part in the Great North Walk on Sunday 24 June. Trevor walked ten miles and raised £70 for Gateway.

Congratulations also goes to Gateway member, Matthew Dennis who recently completed his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

We are holding a fundrasing weekend 6th and 7th November 2009. It starts with a disco at the Torch C entre on the 6th at 7.30pm Everyone welcome.

Members of our groups are invited to join in a giant sleep over to support John Woodley who is playing a 24hr Snookerthon. After breakfast we will have a coffee morning at 10.30am Everyone welcome. Followed by a Wii knockout tournament.

We are thrilled that the Krocodile Krew have agreed to run a Christmas Disco for us on11th December 2009 7-11pm please try to come along it should be great fun.
